Taekwondo... "hand, foot, Way"
Shugyo students practice the traditional Korean art of Taekwondo (TKD). There are two main styles in the world today - WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) and ITF (International Taekwondo Federation). We are primarily an ITF school, which means we teach a more combat-focused style of art compared to the point sparring you see at the Olympics.
Students will be introduced to the basics of kicking, blocking and punching in fast-paced classes designed to help kids learn without them realising they’re learning. Adults will enjoy putting their body into new positions. Regular training will increase your flexibility, stamina and strength across the whole body. The patterns (or forms) will help train the body in the sometimes unorthodox positions.
The syllabus has 10-coloured belt levels that students will work through and achieve prior to applying for a black belt.
